Today, SAFC announced a consolidation of their Chiral Services offering to the Cambridge, UK facility. Once complete, the Cambridge site will offer the full portfolio of chiral screening services including: Chiral Gas Chromatography (GC) and Liquid Chromatography (LC) Separations, large scale crystallization, Simulated Moving Bed (SMB) Separations and production of enantiomerically pure Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). The move is being made to maximize customer experience and access to the portfolio of services, as well as to provide a more targeted approach to enhancing this portfolio. The move is already underway and SAFC has appointed former Pfizer Senior Principal Scientist, Paul Rodwell, to oversee the development team in the new facility.
